The New Orleans Lineup: From Twilight

Chaske Spencer, the emerging native actor who plays Sam Uley in New Moon and Eclipse will be on hand when Vampire Baseball™ steps into New Orleans. Among his credits are Into The West, Dreamkeeper and Skins, as wells a several television appearances and theatre performances. Chaske is currently working on several projects with his production company Urban Dream Productions.

Alex Meraz is an actor/dancer from Arizona who will next be seen in New Moon. He recently wrapped shooting The Roomate opposite Minka Kelley and Leighton Meister. Currently Alex is shooting Eclipse. Highly sought after in the indigenous dance world, Alex has worked as a lead dancer with renowned choreographers Raoul Trujillo, Rulan Tangen, and Santee Smith. Among his accomplishments, he is a founding member of Dancing Earth. His notoriety with Dancing Earth earned him the honor of being hand-picked for a troupe selected to represent the U.S. in a performance for the Royal Jordanian family.

Daniel Cudmore plays the part of Felix in New Moon and will reprise that role in the upcoming Eclipse movie. Daniel may be best known for his portrayal of Colossus in X-Men: The Last Stand and X2. He is the co-star of Alone in the Dark, and has appeared in numerous movies and tv shows, including Are We There Yet?, Revolution and Stargate SG-1.
Daniel is 6'8", and being a natural athelete, he loves sports of all kinds. He can be seen in a variety of ski and snowboarding videos. In his spare time, he can be found in the gym, or on his motorbike.

Tyson Houseman, who plays Quil Ateara in New Moon and Eclipse has joined Vampire Baseball™ for New Orleans. The part of Quil in The Twilight Saga movies is Tyson's first major motion picture role. He previously has been involved in theatre productions.
Tyson is a Native American Indian of First Nation Descendant of the Cree Nation. In his free time Tyson enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding and guitar.

Having grown up traveling the world, Alexander Mendeluk is a young and adventurous film maker and actor. He recently produced a short documentary with Daryl Hannah entitled Designing the New World: Turning Crisis Into Potential which focuses on sustainability and mindful living, has had principal roles in Twilight and Twilight: New Moon and recently co-starred in the feature film Fight or Flight.

The New Orleans Lineup: From New Orleans

Garrett Hartley
Garrett is the first kicker in Super Bowl history to make three field goals from 40-plus yards. The former Oklahoma Sooner kicked his way into the NFL history books by kicking field goals of 46, 44 and 47 yards. Garrett scored 11 points to help the Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17, in Super Bowl XLIV.

Kyle Eckel
Eckel graduated from the Naval Academy in 2005, before going on to play for the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. Before joining the New Orleans Saints in 2009, he was credited with two touchdowns, 13 tackles while on special teams, and 169 yards rushing. Super Bowl XLIV is Eckel's second Super Bowl appearance.

Nelsan Ellis is an award-winning American film and television actor and playwright, perhaps best known as Lafayette Reynolds on HBO's True Blood.
Ellis attended Juilliard and, while there, wrote a semi-autobiographical play titled Ugly that was performed at the school and later won the Lincoln Center's Martin E. Segal Award. Ellis won a 2008 Satellite Award from the International Press Academy for best supporting actor in a television series for his role as Lafayette Reynolds in HBO's True Blood. Ellis won the "Brink of Fame: Actor" award at the 2009 NewNowNext Awards.

Michael Arata owns VooDoo Production Services in New Orleans . Has appeared in numerous films and TV productions as an actor and producer including Déjà vu, Ray, Runaway Jury, Lucky, Night of the Demons and American Summer. Michael is currently the producer for several films including Love, Marriage, Wedding starring Kellan Lutz, Mandy Moore, Blythe Danner and James Brolin; and Blood Out starring Val Kilmer and Tamer Hassen.

Wayne Douglas Morgan - President of Upperline Entertainment, Actor/Producer Wayne Douglas Morgan has performed extensively in film and television over the last five years. In addition to acting in such films as The Dukes of Hazzard, Déjà Vu, Blonde Ambition, Labou, and Cirque Du Freak, this native of New Orleans has also worked in just about every job description on a film set including Bodyguard (for Lindsay Lohan & Ray Liotta among many other celebrities), Casting Director, Locations Manager, Assistant Director and Producer. Wayne’s first film as producer was the well-received Hood Life, starring Shoney Carter, about the tough streets of New Orleans. In 2007, Wayne teamed up with entertainment attorney Murray Roth and together they formed the production company, Upperline Entertainment, which is dedicated to creating full-length independent features within the state of Louisiana. Wayne is also actively involved in the bourgeoning Louisiana film industry as the Director of the non-profit organization, Louisiana Produces, which promotes the production of film and television shows in Louisiana. In addition to producing The Second Line, Wayne and Upperline Entertainment are currently producing Honey Island, The Plantation, Eschaton, Beyond Remorse, The Black Ghost and the highly anticipated Jena 6 – The Mychal Bell Story. Wayne’s greatest role to date is that of Husband and Father to three beautiful actresses.

Sam Medina is a New Orleans native and talented actor with television credits that include Prison Break and Treme. He also played a Latino Prisoner (Ernesto) opposite Kimbo Slice in a Mixed Martial Arts film called Locked Down. Continuing to use his Mixed Martial Arts Skills, he also played a Scary Muay Thai fighter who fights with Paul Wight (The Big Show) in Knucklehead. Sam can be seen in the anticipated thriller Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans with Nicholas Cage and Eva Mendes in theater as we speak. Sam Medina has several films due to release in 2010 includes Flag of My Father, Unearthed, Wrong Side of Town starring Dave Batista, and Mothman.

Thomas Hyde III – a resident of New Orleans, is starring in the upcoming 2010 feature film adaptation of DC Comic’s Jonas Hex along with Megan Fox, Josh Brolin, Will Arnett and John Malkovich. Thomas has appeared in numerous other films and TV series. He is excited to be part of Vampire Baseball™ and for the opportunity to give back to his community.

Johnny Rock- a native of New Orleans, has worked in Radio, Stand-up Comedy, Television and Film. He can be seen along side Jim Carrey in the upcoming feature film I Love You Phillip Morris. He can also be seen in Disaster Movie starring Kim Kardashian & Carmen Electra and in the upcoming film Fight or Flight starring Judd Nelson, Jason London and Twilight's Alex Menduluk.

Diego Martinez studied Film Production at the University of Southern Mississippi, near his native New Orleans. He then headed an Internet company until 1998 when he moved to Medellin, Colombia where he taught English for five years. Diego returned to Louisiana to pursue his passion for film production. After working on a number of productions as an Art Department Coordinator, Diego made the transition to Production Supervisor for three Millennium Film projects. In June of 2008, Diego joined Nu Image/Millennium Films as president of Studio Operations overseeing their Louisiana productions. Currently Diego is Executive Producer of Drive Angry shooting in North Louisiana until mid May. Recent projects have included, Leaves of Grass, Bad Lieutenant, and Expendables.

John Swider is an actor turned director. He has worked on numerous films and TV productions such as Flesh Wounds, Steven Seagal: Lawman, and Syriana with such stars as John Goodman, Christopher Plummer, Steven Seagal, and Kevin Sorbo. He is executive producer of the recent feature films Girls Gone Gangsta and Angels Die Slowly. John Swider's next big project is Girls Gone Vampire to be filmed in New Orleans.

Matthew Lloyd Madden was born in Slidell, LA 1982. He graduated from The University of New Orleans in the Film and Television Visual Arts Program in 2006. He has co starred in New Orleans independent films such I Ran Against US and the dark comedy Girls Gone Gangsta.

Thomas Eckermann is a theatrical artist credited at the Theatre for the New City and The China Club in Manhattan in pursuit of a career with film here in New Orleans. The former collegiate football and baseball athlete has dusted off his glove attempting to throw the ball and not his arm to the athlete/artist humanitarians. Watch for him in locally produced features and television shows..
