Basis duties of a chaperone:
To be a chaperone, you must be at least age 25. You are responsible for the welfare of the youth in your care. The youth can be male or female, will be between the ages of 15-17 and will number not more than six. It should be noted that chaperones may be asked to share a room with other chaperones of the same sex.
The tour on which you will be chaperoning is your payment for your services - however, you must provide your own transportation to and from the tour start and end destinations, as well as personal or additional tour expenses (ie meals and basic transportation not included in the tour itinerary, travel documents including passports, etc.). There will be no other compensation.
You will be advised of the tour opportunities within 90 days of the tour start date - you may choose at that time to chaperone on the tour offered or to decline it. Once you accept, you are obligated to attend the tour and will sign an agreement including the FanTrips.Travel Chaperone Agreement.
A detailed Chaperone Guide will be issued to those selected, however, the basic tenants of being a chaperone are listed below.
- Provide supervision during transportation to and from the hotel, for on-site activities, and for recreational events
